The woods and fields to the east of Usk Castle are all part of the old hunting chase belonging to the castle in medieval times. The Usk Castle Chase Natural Burial Meadow lies just one mile out of Usk on the Old Raglan Road, open to visitors from 10am till dusk.

Outdoor Recreation:

Today the woods play host to many outdoor activities such as the Park Wood Hacking Club, Enduros, and Field Archery. Avenues and rides lined with Red Oak or Lime, make for really special walking. There is a circular footpath way-marked from Usk. Activities in Park Wood have access by track from the Raglan road. More Information Here!
